Free CPSC recall API

A keyless JSON endpoint over the US Consumer Product Safety Commission's public recall feed, with category filtering on top. CORS enabled, cached for 30 minutes, updated continuously. No signup, no rate-limit key, no attribution required (a link is nice).

Endpoint

Query parameters

• days — lookback window in days, 1–90 (default 30)
• category — one of children, kitchen, home (optional)

Notes

• Source of record is always saferproducts.gov; this endpoint filters and normalises, it does not replace the official notice.
• Category assignment is keyword-based — treat it as a starting filter, not a legal determination.
• Cached 30 minutes at the edge. If the upstream feed is down you get 503 with an error body.
